He then worked with his father, the late Allen Manny Sterns, in the scrap metal business in Detroit. He continued in the metal business in San Diego. His interests included the pursuit of Kabbalah studies and the love of jazz music. He regularly attended an Orthodox synagogue every Sabbath and for holidays. He is survived by sons and daugh- ter-in-law, Dr. Jordan Sterns of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Daniel and Susan Sterns of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and.
