announce the engagement of
their daughter Sara Peninah
to Marc Jay Wasser, son of Varda and
Paul Wasser of Southfield.
Sara earned a bachelor of arts degree
in biology from Oakland University
and a master of occupational therapy
degree from Eastern Michigan
University. She is employed as a work-
force development specialist at
Goodwill Industries of Greater
Detroit.
Marc earned a bachelor of science
degree in biology from Oakland
University and is enrolled in the
physician assistant program at Wayne
State University.
An August wedding is planned at
Congregation Beth Ahm.

Rebecca Carol to Brian Winthrop
Ball, son of Claire and Charles Ball of
Newport, R.I.
- Rebecca is a graduate in history of,
the University of Michigan and
earned her master's degree in theater
from UCLA. After obtaining her
teaching credential at Cal State
Northridge, she taught history in
middle school in Los Angeles before
returning to Michigan.
Brian earned his degree in English
from St. Ansel College in New
Hampshire. He received his teaching
credential from Chapman University
in Orange, Calif., and taught high
school in Boston and Los Angeles
before moving to Michigan.
An August wedding is planned.
