hardly a sacrifice. (Why in the world
are we driving them anyway? What is
the point of steering 6,000-8,000
pounds of steel around an urban area
besides responding to the automakers'
marketing campaigns of "taking
charge of power"?)
We need not wait for the Jewish
body politic to act. Those that own
SUVs or other big gasoline-consuming
cars can act on their own right now
Yes, my friend will say: "But one
person cannot make a difference."
But, to use a cliche, each difficult
trek begins with a first step.
Further, if we have a choice of sup-
porting the Jewish state by waving the
blue and white flags, walking for Israel
or selling our gas-guzzlers to damage
the financial wherewithal of Arab

schools. In this way, we ensure the future
of Israel and its people.

tomorrow, I might be in grave danger,
like the next turn in Russian roulette."
As always, our thoughts are for the
well-being of our students. ❑
