nity for so many immigrants from

around the world. They come here

to flee persecution, to enjoy reli-

gious freedom, to pursue the

American Dream. At various historic times

when the world seemed turned against them,

three reasons and found a haven. As we cele-

brate American independence on July 4, we

take a look at a few local immigrants,

now citizens, who found their Jewish

American Dream here in the United States.
