Bonds Speaker

Dr. Ellen S. Cannon will speak at the
State of Israel Bonds Professional Health
Services Division annual Maimonides
dinner, honoring Drs. Jason H. Bodzin
and Harvey P. Sabbota, 6 p.m. Sunday,
June 30, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek Southfield.
Dr. Cannon has been a professor of
political science for 20 years. An advo-
cate on behalf of Israel and American
Jewry, she is vice president of the
American Jewish Congress, Midwest
Region, a faculty member of the
Wexner. Heritage Foundation and a lec-
turer for the Steinhardt Internship pro-
gram.
As a national political analyst, Dr.
Cannon focuses on analyzing political
issues and explaining how they impact
the Jewish community and Israel.

Lawmaker Speaks
To Na'amat Group

Na'amat USA, Greater Detroit Council,
will hold its annual Spiritual Adoption
luncheon noon
Thursday, July 11,
at Wabeek Country
Club, 4000 Qub
Gate Drive,
Bloomfield Hills.
The annual event
is held on behalf of
the abused, neglect-
ed and abandoned
children of Israel.

35th Michigan
House District, will be the speaker. She
is the first woman to serve as House
Democratic floor leader. Jacobs is a
member of several House committees.
Luncheon co-chairs are Charlotte
Edelheit and Dorothy Tendler. Council
president is Evelyn Noveck.
A minimum contribution is required
in addition to the luncheon cost.
Complimentary valet parking will be
provided. Reservations must be made
by July 5 and must be accompanied by
a check.
