ESTHER ROVIN, 89, of Pompano
Beach, Fla., died June 20, 2002.
She is survived by her dear son and
daughter-in-law, J. Stewart and Monica
Rovin of Maple City, Mich.; sisters,
Shirley Friedman of Farmington Hills,
Bertha Gottschalk of California; grand-
son, Leo Rovin. She was the belayed
wife of the late Leo Rovin.
Graveside services were held at the
Adat Shalom Memorial Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the Karmanos Cancer
Institute, 18831 W. 12 Mile Road,
Lathrup Village, MI 48076 or to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements

JOSEPH SHRIMAN, 86, of
Southfield, died June 19, 2002.
He is survived by his sisters, Alice
Werber of Oak Park, Sylvia Hersh of
Southfield, Jennie Bortnick; brother-
in-law, George Lerner; sisters-in-law,
Ella Shriman, Sophie Shriman. Mr.
Shriman was the beloved husband of
the late Ruth Shriman; loving brother
of the late Morris Shriman, the late
Hyman Shriman, the late Dorothy
Lerner; dear brother-in-law of the late
Faye Harrison. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

DAVID SKAE, 56, of Southfield,
died June 20, 2002.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Nancy Boyer-Skae; son, Marc Boyer
of Laurel, Md.; daughter and son-in-
law, Cathy and Robert Ooms of
Canton; mother, Anne Skae; grand-
children, Jared Evan Ooms, Noah Fox
Ooms, Jacob .Harrison Ooms. He was
the dear son of the late Maurice Skae.
Interment was held at the Adat
Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery.

ANN SOKEL, 88, of Aliso Viejo,
Calif., died June 14, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter,
Vivian Molitz of Aliso Viejo; sister,
Ada Green Robbins of West
Bloomfield; four grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sokel was
the beloved wife of the late David
Sokel; loving mother of the late
Theodore Sokel.

JEAN SOMBERG, 80, former
Detroiter of Los Angeles, died June
24, 2002.
She is survived by her children,
Bonnie, Mark (Rebecca) and Alan

Max Somberg. She was the beloved
wife of the late Morris Somberg; sister
of the late Bessie Gold, the late Ruth
Weinberg, the late Ida Weiss, the late
Joseph Kron and the late Yetta
Dubrinsky.
JENNIE WALKON, 85, of West
Bloomfield, died June 18, 2002.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Sanford and
Marlene Walkon of Farmington Hills,
Marvin and Sharon Walkon of
Bloomfield Hills, Clifford and Karen
Walkon of Farmington Hills; sister,
Rose Krentzin of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Craig and Stacey

Walkon; great-grandchildren, Ryan

LILLIAN WALLER, 91, of
Farmington Hills, died June 18, 2002.
She was a teacher at Detroit's
Longfellow School, a life member of
Hadassah and ORT, very active with
American Red Magen David, a found-
ing member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue and a member of its sister-
hood.
She is survived by sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Harold and Diane Waller
of Montreal, Quebec, Canada,
Frederic "Rick" and Enid Waller of
Farmington Hills; daughter and son-
in-law, Phyllis and Stan Silver of New
York City, N.Y.; grandchildren,
Sharon Waller and Al Hyman, Dahvi
Waller, Jeffrey Waller, Deborah and
William Meyers, Cheryl and Leo
Gurvich and Alissa Waller; great-
grandchildren, Gabrielle Hyman and
Amanda Meyers. Mrs. Waller is the
beloved wife of the late Allan L.
Waller; dear sister of the late Daniel
LeVine and the late Saul LeVine.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery.
Her concern for our gallant brethren in Israel and special
interest and devotion she displayed for Magen David
Adorn, inscribed her name eternally in the records of
staunch supporters of the State of Israel. With her late
husband they established the LILLIAN AND ALLAN L.
WALLER FIRST AID MEDICAL CENTER,
in Ashdod, Israel in 1971.
Her indomitable spirit will live in our hearts.
May G-d comfort her children, grandchildren
and their loving family.
