While Cohen also hopes to continue
acting on both stage and screen and
have the chance to work with "anyone
from Martin Scorcese to the guy who
did Amelie, Jean-Pierre Jounet, he's tak-
ing great satisfaction from Street Time.
"Most of the time on television
shows, you don't have the opportunity
to stretch as an actor. [On] this [one],
you do," he says.
And since it's cable TV, you also
have more relaxed standards in what
can be shown.
"I'm going to be naked and I'm
going to curse," Cohen reveals.

Street Time, premiering June 23,
airs 10 p.m. Sundays on
Showtime. The network is offering
a free preview weekend Friday-
Sunday, June 21-23, via participat-
ing cable and satellite systems.

Scott Cohen as "Street Time's" federal
parole officer James Liberti: "Nobody
thinks I look Jewish. Everybody thinks
I look Italian," says the actor.

Oscar winner Red Buttons guest-stars
as Sam Cahan, an aging but still savvy
ex-con. "The best thing to happen
off-set was a seder at my house with
[fellow Jews] Rob [Morrow], Marc
[Levin] and Red Buttons," Cohen
told Entertainment Weekly.
