JWV Annual Forum
To Be In Southfield

Susan Nelson, national ladies auxil-
iary president of the Jewish War
Veterans USA, will be the speaker at
the Michigan JWV and ladies auxil-
iary annual convention at the
Southfield Westin Hotel, 1500
Town Center, June 21-23.
Highlighting the 7:30 p.m. Friday
opening service,
on June 21 will
be the presenta-
tion of 15 col-
lege scholar-
ships to descen-
dants of veter-
ans, awarded
without regard
to- race or reli-
gion; funds are
raised by sale of
poppies and
Susan Nelson
from private
donations.
Temple Israel will pay a special
tribute to veterans at their 10:30
a.m. service on June 22. State
Commander Robert Feldman and
Ladies Auxiliary President Elaine
Zeron will be honored at a 6:30
p.m. dinner at the hotel.
A memorial service for deceased
members will begin the June 23
schedule at 10 a.m., followed by a
business meeting and election of
officers.
Milton Klein, past department
commander, and Elaine Zeron,
department ladies auxiliary presi-
dent, will chair the convention. The
public is welcome, without charge,
for the scholarship award program
and are invited to the Saturday din-
ner.

days prior to publication.
