300 years of service.

I

t was .the ultimate birthday party, corn-
. plete with live music, pony rides, a
miniature train, clowns, moon bouncer,
carnival games and an amazingly large
cake. But when you've invited several hundred
guests to celebrate more than 300 combined
years of birthdays and anniversaries, it's only
Fitting to pull out all the stops.
People of all ages — 2,000 of them, said the
organizers — gathered at the Oak Park Jewish
Community Center last Sunday to take part in
a Birthday Bash and Carnival, co-sponsored by
the Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit and the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's
Neighborhood Project. Co-chairs for the day
