Israeli soldiers spotted seven armed Palestinians approaching the Jewish settlement of Netzarim and opened fire, killing four of them. The remaining three fled, including one V ho later died of his injuries, Palestinian sources said. Israeli mili- tary sources said they believed the gunmen planned to attack a Jewish settlement or convoy, Israel Radio reported. In the West Bank, Israeli forces operating in the Tulkarm area arrested a Palestinian suspected of planning a suicide bombing. Meanwhile, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called for increased attacks against Israel after Israeli troops arrested the group's deputy leader. In another incident, an 8-year-old Palestinian boy was killed in Gaza. Israeli soldiers, who were blamed for his death, were responding to Palestinian gunfire coming from near the boy's tent, the army said. Eleven people were killed and more than 50 others injured in the March attack at Cafe Moment, located just 200 yards from the prime minister's official residence. The reopening took place as a suicide bomber struck at a falafel stand in the Israeli coastal city of Herzliya, killing a 15-year-old girl and woundinc, more than 10 others. The bombing victim, Hadar Hershkowitz, was the daughter of Aryeh Hershkowitz, director general of the Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer club.
