B'nai B'rith Lodge
Posts Scholarships

Two $1,000 scholarships for fall 2002
college tuition are being offered by
Oakland Century Lodge of B'nai
B'rith.
To apply, students should submit a
copy of grade transcript together with
a typewritten memorandum in letter
form demonstrating compliance with
the requirements.
A student must: be a Jewish strident
from the Detroit area; attend college
or a university, having at least one full
year of credits already completed
toward a degree (sophomore or
above); have superior grades; demon-
strate a need for financial 'assistance;
show leadership qualities for the bene-
fit of the Detroit Jewish community;
list campus participation and commu-
nity activity showing established roots
in the Detroit Jewish community.
Applications must be received by
July 15. Mail them to Harold J.
Samuels, Chairman, Scholarship
Committee, 26240 Inkster Road,
Southfield, MI 48034-2243.

Dream Lottery
Winners Picked

The Women's Campaign and
Education Department of the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit announced the 2002 Israel
Dream Lottery winners.
l'he winners are undergraduate
college students who wish to travel
to Israel for summer, semester or
yearlong programs. Awards of
$1,000 and $2,000 were made to
the following 25 winners at the
March 19 lottery drawing: Brian
