JCC Offers
Summer Trips
The Jewish Community Center
of Metropolitan Detroit will
offer several trips this summer.
An informational meeting
about JCC travel opportunities
will be held Wednesday, June 12,
at 7 p.m. at the JCC in West
Bloomfield.
The first trip is to Stratford,
Ontario, from Tuesday, July 23,
to Wednesday, July 24. The trip
will include round-trip motor
coach transportation, one night's
accommodation at the Festival
Inn and tickets for The
Threepenny Opera and The Scarlet
Pimpernel.
Another theater trip will be
offered Aug. 9-11 to the Shaw
Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake,
Ontario. The plays Candida and
Merrily We Roll Along will be
included, along with two nights
accommodation and an optional
trip to Niagara Falls.
New England will be the desti-
nation Aug. 15-21. Participants
will tour Plymouth Rock,
Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket,
Sandwich Glass Museum,
Kennedy Memorial, Touro
Synagogue an&Paul Revere
House, The trip will include
round-trip limousine service to
Detroit Metro Airport, airfare to
Boston and six nights at the
Ramada Regency Hotel.
Several day trips also will be
offered throughout the summer.
A day in Lansing on Thursday,
Aug. 29, will include a luncheon
cruise aboard the Michigan
Princess and a guided tour of
Michigan State University's
Horticultural Gardens.
On Tuesday, July 30, the JCC
travel department will go to
Casino Windsor. Participants will
receive round-trip transportation,
$15 in chips and a buffet lunch-
eon.
- A get-away for seniors will be
offered July 7-12 at the Butzel
Conference Center in Ortonville.
There will be outdoor recreation-
al activities, crafts, discussions,
dancing and nightly entertain-
ment.
