Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Lindsay Rachel Acker will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
May 25, at Congregation Beth Shalom.
She is the daughter
of Caryn and Jerry
Acker and sister of
Jordan. She is the
granddaughter of
Shirley and Fred
Green and Marilyn
and Ed Acker.
Lindsay is a sev-
enth-grade honor
student at Norup
Middle School in Oak Park, where she
plays basketball for the school team. She
also enjoys tennis, horseback riding and
playing the piano and flute. Lindsay has
been a volunteer at the Royal Oak
Animal Shelter and at the Coville
Apartments in Southfield, visiting with
the seniors. Each centerpiece from
Lindsay's bat mitzvah celebration will be
donated to local charities.
