The group of teens typically views films and discusses issues surrounding the Holocaust, but the May 9 pro- gram with their parents at the Bloomfield Township Public Library included several guest speakers: George Laksberger of West Bloomfield, who is a Holocaust sur- vivor; Dr. Charles Silow of Huntington Woods, president of CHAIM (Children of Holocaust Survivors Association in Michigan); and Don Cohen of West Bloomfield, a consultant specializing in Jewish issues and Israel advocacy. Oak Park-based MJI's weekly evening program for teens is offered for high school or college credit. Co- sponsors-are the Agency for Jewish Education of Metropolitan Detroit and National Conference of Synagogue Youth.
