He was the owner and operator of Carco Steel Products Company and was active in the steel business for over 50 years. He was a World War II veteran and was also active with the Jewish Federation for many years. Recently, Mr. Kaufman was a volunteer for Jewish Social Services, teaching immigrants to become citizens and tutoring children in reading skills.
