With only 14 girls
at Convention,

showed everyone
that you don't have
to be a big chapter
to win. The girls
earned Most
Improved BBG
Chapter for the
second consecutive
year at Regional
Convention 2001.

As the programming
year winds down, Al
Jolson AZA has a
bright future ahead.
The pride and
enthusiasm in the
chapter will set up
next year to be as
delightful as the
present one. The main
reason for this is
Jolson AZA winning
the "Most
Distinguished Chapter Award"
at RC 2001. For the past 11
years everyone has been
chasing Kishon AZA to grab the
ring as RC winner. After months
of preparation, Jolson felt it was
ready to challenge.
Although there were feuds at
times, the fraternity and
dedication of each member was
fiercer than any obstacle to
overcome. There was no
stopping our devotion to win
RC and be known as the best
chapter in Michigan Region
AZA. Not only did we attain this
goal, but we also achieved the
ultimate goal, a successful
chapter of caring members with
high aspirations for the Order
and all that it has to offer. RC,
6
although competitive,
is the ultimate
experience to bring
brothers together and
to work toward a
common goal - to
allow them to share a
special bond that is
almost thicker than
blood.
Representing Jolson
AZA this year as
Aleph Godol has not
only been an honor but a
privilege as well. Our success is
shown through the hard work
that each member has put forth
in one way or another. We
hope to win RC again, there is
no doubt about that. However,
if fraternity is high and if
members can look inside
themselves and realize that they
are better because of this
wonderful organization, AZA,
then winning is not needed.
What this organization is based
upon is what pushes each
member to work hard, and for
that, I am proud to be a
member.
