back," said Lipton. "He wanted to
fix Scott." Father and son traveled
across the world to treatment pro-
grams. It wasn't until Lipton studied
psychology in college, and researched
schizophrenia, that she was able to
recognize Scott's real biochemical
disorder and convince her family to
bring Scott home. Kadima helped
them all "move forward."
"Kadima treated him humanely,"
she said. "He began to get his dignity
back and learn how to function in a
family home.
"The past 30 years have taught
me about compassion, love, patience.
It's simply about treating someone
you adore the way you would want to
be treated. Scott, unfortunately, suf-
fers the loss of his own hope."
