The Wanetiks will receive the seminary's Shin Award at the community-wide gala Thursday, May 30, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. Leonard Wanetik is the immediate past president of the congregation and worked on numerous commit- tees and educational endeavors, including serving as chair of the rit- ual committee. He served on the Hillel Day School Board of Directors for 13 years and chaired the budget and finance committee for eight years. Ann Wanetik volunteers as the weekly Shabbat kiddush caterer. Involved with the B'imi Moshe Sisterhood, she was acknowledged by the Torah Fund in.1997. She has worked for the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority for the past 10 years. The Wanetiks are the parents of Ezra and Devra. Ezra graduated from the JTS undergraduate Albert A. List College of Jewish Studies. Devra emigrated to Jsrael following her graduation from Ohio State UniVersity. B'nai Moshe has Judith Horwitz IP and Elana Roth among the many stu- dents from the community studying at JTS. B'nai Moshe JTS board members include. Joyce and Dr. Matthew Borovoy, Ira and Kay Harris, Robert Roth and Jodi Weinfeld. Marty Pi-ice is serving as B'nai Moshe chair for the JTS event.
