Jeremy Ryan Mony will be called to
the Torah for his bar mitzvah on
Saturday, May 4, at
Temple Shir
Shalom. He will
conduct Havdalah
services. Jeremy is
the loving son of
Sharon and
Michael Mony and
brother of
Amanda. Very
proud grandparents are Joan and
Norman Goldin and Phyllis Lenhoff.
He is also the grandson of the late
Henry Lenhoff and the late Milton
Mony.
Jeremy is a seventh-grader at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. His interests are reading,
computer, video games, skateboard-
ing, music and dancing. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering for Yad Ezra in Berkley,
delivering food baskets.

Eric Vorenberg will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
May 4, at Temple
Kol Ami. He is the
son of Barbara and
Thomas
Vorenberg, brother
of Stephen, Emily
and Andy
Vorenberg. Proud
grandparents are
Selma Steiner, Fred
and Elizabeth
Vorenberg. He is also the grandson of
the late Eric Steiner.
Eric is an honor student at
Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. He is active in
Boy Scouts and serves as den-chief
for his brother's Cub Scout den. Eric
enjoys golf, go-karts, playing piano
and camping. He has volunteered at
the Forest Elementary School
Carnival in Farmington Hills and
served as a madrich (teacher's aide)
for the temple's religious school. He
will also make food baskets for Yad
Ezra in Berkley.

Stuart Meyer Zeltzer was called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, April 20,
at Temple Kol
Ami. He is the son
of Susan and Elliot
Zeltzer. His
younger brothers,
Paul and Barry,
participated in the
service. Stuart's
happy grandpar-

ents are Gladys and Bernard R.
Cohen and Pearl and George M.
Zeltzer.
Stuart is an honor student at
Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. He is an avid
hockey player and soccer player.

Joshua Blaine Kushner of Irvine,
Calif., will be called to the Torah as a
bar mitzvah at
Temple Bat Yahm
in Newport Beach,
Calif, Saturday,
May 4. He is the
son of Dr. Jerry
and Ronda
Kushner and
brother of Collin.
Proud grandmoth-
er is Estelle
Makrouer of West Bloomfield.
Joshua is also the grandson of the
late Hy Makrouer and Belle
Seidman.
Joshua is an honor student at
Tarbut v'Torah Day School in Irvine.
He enjoys soccer, hockey, reading
and playing the saxophone. For his
mitzvah projects, he is a puppy raiser
for Guide Dogs for the Blind. He is
raising a white lab named Chapman.
Joshua's other mitzvah project is col-
lecting and stocking food for the
Families Forward Food Pantry.

Benjamin Freedman Pedrick (Motel
Ben Yomon) was called to the Torah
as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, April
6, at the Touro
Synagogue in
Newport, R.I. He
is the son of Laura
(Freedman)

Pedrick and D
Pedrick.
Grandparents are
Annette and Dr.
Gerald Freedman of Davisburg,
Mich., and the late Virginia and
Daniel Webster Pedrick. He is the
great-grandson of the late Max and
Rissie Shniderman.
Ben enjoys spending time with
friends, listening to music, computer
programming, skiing in Vermont and
playing baseball and soccer. Ben gave
tzedakah to Touro Synagogue
Hebrew School and to the Ladies
Auxiliary of Touro to help support
the soup kitchen, where he has
worked together with his brother
Geoffrey and his parents.
