Miller, is an account of the Salem witch
trials of 1692. Liam Neeson plays John
Proctor, the New England farmer, and
Laura Linney plays, Elizabeth, his wife
who is accused of witchcraft. Miller
wrote The Crucible in 1953 as a com-
mentary on McCarthyism and the
actions of the House Un-American
Activities Committee.
