For his mitzvah proj- ects, he volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley, worked with Farmington Hills- based JARC and helped at the Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield. PLEIN SUD JEANS Tess Elizabeth Garoon will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, April 20, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek West Bloomfield, B'nai Israel Center. She is the daughter of Ronna Feldman and Zev Garoon and sister of Bradley and Ann. Proud grandparents are Yvette and William Feldman and Hirsch Garoon of Beer Sheeva, Israel. She is also the granddaughter of the late Ann Feldman and the late Celia Garoon. Tess is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. She enjoys singing, dancing, baseball, basketball, swimming and going to camp. Her mitzvah projects included working at Yad Eira in Berkley and at the Abilities Center in Southfield. She is also the granddaughter of the late Oscar Goldberg and Robert Siegel. Sharing in her simchah were her brothers Adam Goldberg and Matthew Michel, as well as Adam, Matthew and Bradley Kotzen. Robyn is a seventh-grade student at Norup Middle School in Oak Park and enjoys music, computers, sports and summers at Tamarack Camps. For her mitzvah projects, Robyn visited the sen- iors at the Coville Apartments in Southfield and volunteered at the Coalition On Temporary Shelter in Detroit and the Greenfield Animal Clinic in Southfield. Scott Matthew Goldin will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, April 20, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. He is the son of Shelley and Gary Goldin and brother of Hilary and Allison. Proud Mazel Toy! grandparents are Rose Stein and Helen and Steve Goldin. He is also the grandson of the late Fred Stein. Scott attends Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield, where he is an honor student. He enjoys playing baseball, football, snowboarding, working computers and spending sum- mers at Camp Walden in Cheboygan. For his mitzvah project, Scott volun- teered for- Farmington Hills-based JARC and assisted in building a sukkah with the residents. Molly Elizabeth Mardit will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, April 20, at Congregation Beth Shalom. She is the daughter of Paula and Barry Mardit and the sister of Rosie Mardit. Her proud grand- mother is Lorraine Schwartz. Molly is also the granddaugh- ter of the late Sidney Schwartz and the late Rose and Benjamin Mardit. She is an honor student at Norup Middle School in Oak Park, where she plays saxophone in the concert and jazz bands and is a member of the Future Problem Solvers and a student council representative. Molly plays piano and basketball, is a member of the Kids Klez Band and a Girl Scout. For her mitzvah projects, she has volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley and has visited the seniors at the Coville Apartments in Southfield. She has played piano for the residents of the Danto Family Health Care Center in West Blomfield. Sarah Alyssa May of Farmington Hills was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, April 6, at Temple Beth El. Her parents, Berton and Renee May, and her sister Deborah shared in the simchah. Sarah is the granddaugh- ter of Dr. Charles and Sally Reich, Sharon and Burton Savine and Edward and Carol May. She is also blessed with two great- ,- grandparents, Gertrude Seldes of West Bloomfield and Peter Evanoff of Southfield.
