Bar/Bat Mitzvah Allison Ivy Birnkrant will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Friday, April 19, at Temple Beth El. She is the daughter of Frann and Stephen Birnkrant and sister of Jeffrey. Allison attends Cranbrook Kingswood Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. She enjoys acting, singing and dancing. For her mitzvah projects, she volunteered at Gleaners Food Bank in Detroit and planted trees in the city of Detroit. Kyle Spencer Colton of Franklin will become a bar mitzvah on Friday, April 19, at Temple Shir Shalom. He is the son of Michele and Michael Colton and the brother of Eric and Adam. Proud great-grandmother is Sylvia Cohen. Excited grandparents are Cal and Cindy Moss. Kyle is also the great-grandson of the late Albert Cohen and Philip and Dorothy Brezner and the grandson of the late Elaine Moss and Irving and June Colton. Kyle is an honor student at Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham, who enjoys drawing, baseball, soccer, karate and spending time with friends. His mitzvah projects include helping the Blight Busters clean out a home for a needy family and volunteering at Yad Ezra in Berkley. Joshua Aaron Cykiert will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, April 20, at Congregation Beth Ahm. His parents are Julie Cykiert and Stuart Cykiert. His brother is Nathan Cykiert.
