Aids Women

Women who have lost their primary
source of income due to separation,
divorce, death or disability of a spouse or
other circumstances receive emotional
support and vocational assistance to find
immediate employment through JVS
Women to Work Program. A free orien-
tation meeting about the program is set
for 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, May 7, at
JVS, 29699 Southfield Road, Southfield.
The meeting will provide an overview
of Women to Work, which helps indi-
viduals who are unemployed or under-
employed identify their skills and career
and educational goals. The information-
al meeting will outline the services avail-
able through the program, which
include job referral and placement assis-
tance, resume writing, effective inter-
viewing and group support.
Women to Work is funded by the
Michigan Department of Career
Development. The program is adminis-
tered by JVS.
