impression of the Jewish immigrant
experience. Set in New York in
1896, the film introduces Gitl, who
uses her old country wiles to
advance her opportunities.

• The Power of Good' Nicholas
Winton complements All My Loved
Ones by telling the story of the person
who saved the lives of so many children.
One of the rescued children, now living
in Canada, will be part of the discussion
session.
• Terrorists in Retirement, being
shown in the U.S. for the first time, tells
a horrifying secret about the French
underground: the network was almost
as anti-Semitic as the Nazi regime. The
secret is revealed by Jewish and non-
Jewish members captured on film.
• The Times of Harvey Milk, shown
in conjunction with Let's Get Frank,
chronicles the life and death of the San
Francisco supervisor who was shot
because he was Jewish and gay. The
Oscar-winning film explores the envi-
ronment in which this crime took
