Shir Shalom
Honors Youth

Temple Shir Shalom will honor 12 gradu-
ating seniors from its religious school at
Shabbat services 8 p.m. Friday, May 31.
The graduates are Emily Canosa,
Eric Canosa, Eric Colton, Sara Dulkin,
Sara Eber, Brian Harris, Rebecca Jacobs,
Zachary Krasman, Daniel Michaels,
Taryn Mountain, Michelle Rosen and
Jennifer Wilner.
The temple will honor confirmation
students at a Thursday, May 16, erev
Shavuot service. The confirmands are
Marina Abayev, Michael Baum, Adam
Colton, Michael Eber, Michael
Goodman, Aaron Imhoff, Adam Jacobs,

Temple Israel
Hosts Seniors

A Senior Shabbat service and lunch is
planned at Temple Israel for Saturday,
May 4.
The Up and Out Committee of
National Council of Jewish Women
Greater Detroit Section will coordinate
transportation from American House
(Parkcrest), and Federation Apartments
in Oak Park and West Bloomfield.
There is a $2 charge and reservations
can be made by sending a check, by
April 17, payable to NCJW GDS and

Fetes Family

"My Time with Bubbie and Zayde" will
be held Thursday, April 18, at
Congregation Beth Shalom.
The program is designed for grand-
parents and their 2'/2-6-year-old
grandchildren to learn and create spe-
cial memories with each other while
having fun. Sessions will include
Jewish holiday stories, songs, crafts
and snacks and will be held at the
synagogue.
Advanced registration is required and
there is an $8 fee per session.For infor-

Beth Shalom Lauds
Founding Member

Congregation Beth Shalom will pay
tribute to founding member Saul Leff
when it names him man of the year at 6
p.m. Sunday, April 21, at the syna-
gogue.
Leff will be honored at the Beth
Shalom Men's Club third annual Man
of the Year dinner, where he will be rec-
ognized for his many years of service.
He has been a member of the congrega-
tion for more than 40 years.
There is a dinner fee, and the com-

B'nai Moshe Names
Brick Committee

Jerry Isler of Farmington Hills has
been appointed chair of the Gift
Brick Committee at Congregation
B'nai Moshe.
The B'nai Moshe Walk of Honor
is in celebration of the 10th
anniversary at the West Bloomfield
synagogue.
Prices range
from $125 to
$1,000 per brick.
The engraved brick
concept can be
seen at the West
Bloomfield Library
and the Detroit
Zoo. The brick
Jerg Isler
campaign will run
through May 31,
and the walk will be installed and
dedicated prior to the High Holy
Days.
Isler brings 30 years of experience
in sales/marketing in the metals
industry to this fund-raiser. Pearlena
Bodzin is Isler's co-chair and
Sharlene Ungar is coordinating.
The bricks can honor family
members, bar/bat mitzvahs, wed-
dings, births or the memory of
loved ones.
