Shulman Offers
Levin Lecture
College Scholarships Eyes World Trade
State Rep. Marc Shulman, R-West
Bloomfield, is looking for outstanding
high school seniors to apply for a col-
lege scholarship through the Shulman
Educational Opportunity Fund.
Students are asked to write an essay
describing how government affects a
student's daily life, what students can
do to have an impact on government
policy and what you can do to have
your voice heard.
Shulman will award a first place
check of $1,500, a second place award
of 1,000 and two $250 honorable
mention scholarships. The high
schools attended by the first- and sec-
ond-place winning students will each
receive $500 awards.
Eligible students include all high
school seniors, or students of equiva-
lent status not attending a public or
private school, who have been accept-
ed to a college or university and live
within the 39th District (West
Bloomfield and Commerce
Townships, Orchard. Lake Village and
Keego Harbor).
Essays must be typed in Times New
Roman or Roman, 12-point font,
double-spaced with one-inch margins
and no longer than four pages in
length. Send five copies to Scholarship
