MAIL DEPT. ...
from Howard
Gordon, senior vice president,
Business Development and
Marketing ..: "At this time we are
not opening one of our Cheesecake
Factory restaurants anywhere in
Michigan. How rumors get started is
when a developer calls us and then
sends information about their devel-
opment. Some of them say we are
interested when all they did was
send information. By saying this
they start to get interest from other
tenants that might be thinking of
coming and joining them."
REUNION DEPT...: Classes of

KORN KORNER ... from Melissa
Wolf-Litwin ... "Old Jewish men in
Miami get hernias from wearing
chais which are too heavy ... This
condition is called chaiatal hernia."
OLDIE BUT GOODIE Dept....
from Marilyn Tringale ... Standing
• on the seashore, a Jewish lady watch-
es her grandson playing in the water.
She is thunderstruck when she sees
a huge wave crash over him. After it
recedes, the boy is no longer there.
Screaming, she holds her hands to
the sky and cries, "Lord, how could
you? Have I not been a wonderful
mother and grandmother? Have I not
scrimped and saved so I could work
tirelessly for the Temple and contribute
to B'nai Brith? Have I not always put
others before myself? Have I not
always turned my other cheek and
loved my neighbors, have I not ... "
A deep voice from the sky interrupts,
"Enough already, give me a break!"
Immediately another huge wave
appears and crashes on the beach.
And when it recedes, the boy is
standing there, srriiling, splashing
around as if nothing ever happened.
The deep loud voice continues, "I
have returned your grandson, Are
you satisfied?"
"He had a hat," says the grand-
mother. ❑
