Bolkosky worked for the Steven
Spielberg Shoah Project for a year as
an adviser. He said it's what's made
him so passionate about his project.
They did about 53,000 interviews,
about 80 percent he would have
thrown out because the interviewers
were ill prepared.
"Sometimes, the interview goes to two
hours, but that's just not enough time,
unless you've done an extensive pre-
interview, which they don't," he said.
Besides, all the interviews must end
with a happy ending, which rankles
Bolkosky.
