ORT Leaders
Attend Meeting

Women's American ORT recognized
the need to cultivate young women
leaders and to that end established the
President's Young Leadership Council
eight years ago. They are given exposure
to the national and world ORT organi-
zation, meeting national leaders and
learning about ORT technological and
vocational schools in countries world-
wide.
Two Michigan women, Sandy Shecter
and Robbie Sherman, both of
Farmington Hills, are the current PYLC
appointees.
At the same time of the conference,
another group met with national leader-
ship. The protege program selects a cur-
rent leader and mentors that individual
to ensure her success as a leader and
gives her exposure to the world of ORT.
Elaine Beresh, of West Bloomfield has
been selected as the 2001-2002 protege.
