Hosts Benefit
Matt Prentice and the Bingham
Farms-based Unique Restaurant
Corp. will host an event to benefit
Yad Ezra, a Berkley-based kosher
food pantry. The strolling dinner,
Sunday, April 7, from 5-8 p.m., will
take place at Milk and Honey of
West Bloomfield inside the Jewish
Community Center. Event chairs are
Ruth Kahn and Shelley Nadiv.
The dinner will include appetizers,
five stations and a dessert buffet.
The cost is $100 per adult. Children
ages 5-12, accompanied by adults,
are welcome to enjoy an evening of
sports and activities provided by the
JCC and a kids' fun food buffet.
Cost for the children's buffet is $10.
Proceeds from the event will go
toward Yad Ezra's capital campaign
to pay for its new food distribution

Nears End
The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit's Annual
Campaign closing phonathon,
Campaign Countdown, will take
place 6-9 p.m. Monday-Wednesday,
April 22-24, for Federation, syna-
gogue and agency board members;
and 9:30 a.m.-1 p:m. Sunday, April
28, for the general public. Campaign
Countdown will be held at the Max
M. Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
Terran Leemis and Mark Landau
are the chairs for the countdown.
Volunteers will make calls to the
community asking for pledges to
close Federation's annual campaign
for 2002. The Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit is the central
communal organization of the
Jewish community.
