Workshop Focus:
Aid The Elderly

The Premier Rental Retirement Community
That Has It All

Social action leaders will learn to
make a difference for the elderly in
the community at a workshop 10
a.m.-noon Sunday, April 7, at the
Fountains at Franklin in Southfield,
sponsored by the Social Action
Coordinating Committee of the
Jewish Community Council.
"Working with the Elderly as a
Caring Community" is the theme of
the workshop, which will feature
Shirley Jarcaig, coordinator of the
Jewish Community Chaplaincy
Program. Participants will join in a
group hands-on activity with residents
of the Fountains, an assisted living
facility for senior citizens.
Nancy Welber Barr and Jo Rosen
are the co-chairs. There is no charge
for -the program, which is open to the
community. Reservations are required.

Forum Theme:
Family Issues

The Jewish Women's Foundation and
the Single Jewish Parents Network
invite parents and grandparents affect-
ed by blended family issues to an edu-
cational forum titled "When More
Than Two Say I Do" 8:45 a.m.-12:30
p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Max M.
Fisher Federation Building in
Bloomfield Township.
Janice Tract, family therapist spe-
cializing in divorce and re-marriage,
will be the keynote speaker. Tract,
along with a panel of local experts,
will answer questions from the audi-
ence.
Dr. Roberta Toll, Barbara Bloom,
Janis Watson and Dr. Sammi Siegal
are the committee for this program.
Daycare services will be provided.
Reservations are required and children
must be physically healthy. There is a
$3 charge per child in daycare for
supplies and snacks. No children
under age 13 may attend the pro-
gram.
Reservations are required by
Wednesday, April 10. There is a $10
fee for the program and a continental
breakfast will be provided.
