Beethoven's sketch-
books suggest that it
was written in a few
months and that
Clement had a hand in
shaping its_technical fea-
tures.
There was only one other
performance of the work in
Beethoven's lifetime, and the
piece stood out because it begins
with ominous drumbeats and
move: from a repetitive note to
a complex composition.
Also on the program will be
the "Overture" to Mozart's The
Abduction from the Seraglio and
Schumann's Spring Symphony.
