will be on hand 9:15 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sunday, March 3, when Temple Beth El
Sisterhood hosts the annual Party
Planning Expo. Thirty-five local
exhibitors will demonstrate how to host
a perfect party.
Visitors to the free event will sample
foods and participate in the drawing of a
door prize. All will also receive a compli-
mentary directory of exhibitors and
party experts.

Temple Israel
Offers Support

Temple Israel's Bereavement Support
Group meets Wednesday afternoons
from 1:30- 3 p.m. March 6, 20, April
10, May 1, 15, 29.
The group is free of charge, open to
the community and is facilitated by
Leslee Kohn.
PATH (Positive Attitude Toward
'Health) MS Support Group will begin
at Temple Israel 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb.
28. The group will meet twice a month.
The first session is a support group
and the second will have a speaker.
Future dates are March 14, April 11, 25,
May 9, 23, June 13, 27, July 11, 25,
Aug. 8, 29. The group is open to the
community at no charge.

Akiva Slates
Purim Events

Yeshivat Akiva Purim celebrations invite
community participation.
Beginning with the Maariv service at
6:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, in the
Southfield school's sanctuary, the pro-
gram will include the reading of Megillat
Esther at 7:01 p.m. At 7:45 p.m., the
celebration will move to the multi-pur-
pose room for dinner (breakfast from
the Fast of Esther), dancing and fun.
The festivities will continue on
Tuesday with Shacharit services at 8:30
a.m. including the second reading of the
megillah at 9:15 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., the
Kollel Torah M'Tzion, young adults
learning and teaching in Detroit for two
years, will put on a carnival.
On Wednesday, Feb. 27, Sushan
Purim will continue festivities with Uncle
Sam's Revenge, a Purim play put on by
the school's faculty and staff This will be
followed by another carnival for the
lower grades put on by the senior class.

Blacks, Jews
Host Seder

The annual Black/Jewish Freedom
Seder sponsored by the Black/Jewish
Coalition of the Jewish Community
Center of Washtenaw will take place
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the
JCC, 2935 Birch Hollow Drive, Ann
Arbor.
A traditional seder will be held and
a Passover dinner served. Tickets are
$15 for an individual and $30 for a

Beth Ahm
Hosts Youth

A Purim party for youth grades 8-12
of Congregation Beth Ahm will be
held with the youth of Congregation
Beth Shalom 8:30-11:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 9, at Beth Shalom.
On Monday, Feb. 25, Beth Ahm
will conduct maariv services with the
megillah reading following the services.
The readers will be Fred Smith,
Jeremy Levine assisted by his father
Dr. Robert Levine, Emily and Rebecca
Nadis, Dr. David Tessler, Elizabeth
Traison, Ronn Nadis, Jonathan Warsh,
Dr. Beth Nadis, Deborah Anstandig,
Monica Woll and Rebecca Zwickl.
Following the services, children of
all ages will enjoy a Purim carnival.
