BERNARD (BEN)HENCKEN,
94, of Southfield, died Feb. 10.
He was a pharmacist for over 70
years and for 30 years, was the co-
owner with his brother, Jack, of
Don Drugs on Seven Mile Road.
Mr. Hencken is survived by his
sons and daughters-in-law, Robert
and Karen Hencken of Richmond,
Gerald and Meridel Avrin; daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Marilyn
Hencken of California, Carol and
Jerry Freedman; son-in-law,
Maynard Kalef and his wife,
Nancy Kalef; grandchildren, Ellen
and Louis Feldman, Alexander
Hencken, Randolph Hencken,
Richard and Rebecca Freedman,
Douglas and Lauri Freedman,
Elissa and Rabbi Louis Sherby,
Eve and Ross Halpern; great-
grandchildren, Michael Feldman,
Abby Feldrrian, Jeremy Feldman,
numerous other great-grandchil-
dren; sister, Eileen Israel; brother
and sister-in-law, Irving and
Fanny Hencken. He was the
beloved husband of the late Bessie
Norman Hencken and the late
Yetta Levin Hencken; devoted
father of the late Joan Kalef;
cherished grandfather of the late
Andrea Kalef-Brass; loving brother
of the late Jack Hencken; dear
brother-in-law of the late Robert
Israel, the late Estelle Hencken;
loving son of the late Samuel
Hencken and the late Nellie
Entin.
Interment at Workmen's Circle
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to BBYO. Arrangements by
Ira Kaufman Chapel.

BERNARD HOLLANDER, 92,
of Oak Park, died Feb. 5.
He is survived by his daughter
and son-in-law, Lorretta and
Nathan Blumenfeld; sister-in-law,
Gettel Hollander; six grandchil-
dren; 10 great-grandchildren. Mr.
Hollander was the beloved hus-
band of the late Elsie Hollander;
loving father of the late Darlene
Scheirer; dear brother of the late
Irving Hollander.
