The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer
Institute will hold a dinner-time lec-
ture series on prostate health at its
newest location, Lawrence and Idell
Weisberg Cancer Treatment Center,
31995 Northwestern Highway, just
north of Middlebelt Road,
Farmington Hills.
The series will discuss treatment
options, short- and long-term effects
of treatment and the pathology of
prostate cancer. The lectures are free
and open to the public and a variety
of sandwiches will be provided.
Hosting the sessions will be Jeffrey
Forman, M.D., director of the
Weisberg Cancer Treatment Center
and professor and chairman of the
Department of Radiation Oncology
at Karmanos and Wayne State
University in Detroit.
The Prostate Cancer Lecture
Series, 6:15-8 p.m. Tuesdays, will
cover the following areas:

• Feb. 19: "The Pathology of
Prostate Cancer: PSA, Gleason
Scores, Risk Factors" with Jeffrey D.
Forman, M.D.;
• March 19: "Analyzing Treatment
Options";
• April 23: "Managing the Short-
and Long-Term Side Effects of
Treatment."
