Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Fllis Henry Hamburger of Birmingham
will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Feb. 9, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. He is
the son of John Hamburger and the late
Susan Hamburger. Ellis is the brother of

Johnnie Johnson,
Andi Sondak and
the late Joel Sondak,
Annette Hamburger

Ellis is an honor student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. He enjoys basketball,
snowboarding and other sports, comput-
ers and other electronic gadgets and trav-
el. He has contributed to several charities,
including Yad Ezra in Oak Park, the
Jewish Home & Aging Services in West
Bloomfield and Ronald McDonald
House.

mitzvah at Temple Israel on Saturday,

Stocker, along with

simchah. He is the
grandson of Rose
and Joseph
Hertzberg, Ilene and
Morton Silverman
and the late Fred Stocker.
Jake's interests include the computer,
sporting events, tennis, hockey, baseball
and basketball. He attends Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington
on Hills. One
of his mitzvah projects was helping feed
the hungry at Gleaners Food Bank in
Detroit.
