said. "We'll continue to pursue what-
ever avenues we can."
He said a Knollenbera staff member
would attend the Feb. 7 b meeting.
Sen. Levin has sent a letter to the
INS regarding the suspension of adop-
tion petition processing in Cambodia,
according to an e-mailed statement
from his office.
In the statement, he voices concern
for the families trapped in limbo by
this process, and says these families
deserve individual case review and res-
olution if their adoptions are not
found to be fraudulent. Sen. Levin
pledged to continue to work with INS
to assist the Michigan families.
Reid Willis wants people to imagine
that their biological child is stuck in a
foreign country. That's how close he
feels to Koun Nga.
"They wouldn't want to wait a
month, much less a week or a day," he
said. "They'd want to get their child
out as quickly as possible.
"That's the mindset we're in — and
every other adoptive parent in this sit-
uation. Once you've crossed that
threshold, there's no going back." ❑

"In 1995, I _noticed a dramatic change in
my wife. She was an avid reader, a great
organize', a law firm bookkeeper, and a
great homemaker. I noticed changes that
she was no longer reading, adding num-
bers, and was very disorganized."

Frank's wife was diagnosed
with Alzheimer's disease. After
several years of caring for her, he
realized he needed help - that led
him to Arden Courts.

"I now feel I have the freedom to contin-
ue with my life, work with the church,
and have the peace of mind that my wife
is being very well cared for in the safest
and most secure environment possible.

I cannot emphasize enough how happy I
am with the decision I made to place my
wife in Arden Courts. I visit my wife
daily and still give her that good night
kiss every night.
