GARY MILLER • r ral first heard about the Lieberman/Ritter wedding when I planned a trip through Gateway Travel. Rochelle Lieberman, the mother of the bride, is my travel agent. She can jet you off to Hong Kong or Australia in no time, but planning her daugh- ter's wedding took painstaking hours. The location was a big issue. The earthy, nature- loving couple nixed the hall at the synagogue and the country club. "She insisted on an out- door wedding," exclaimed Rochelle. Arthur Lieberman, father of the bride, offered his advice — "Air conditioning and lighting are a plus." Stacy and Rochelle visited many outdoor locations, even a farm. Finally, they compro- mised. "We all know about the weather in Michigan. I needed to have a location where, if it is pouring rain, there is an option," insist- ed Rochelle. They decided on Cranbrook, and reserved the auditorium in case the weather did not cooperate. Luckily, sunshine prevailed. At Style at the Jewish News, we invite you to their unique wedding where, after the nup- tials, the bride and groom rode off on a bicycle built for two. In our "passions" section, we profile collec- tor Dave Eisenberg. We feature just a portion of his collection, for he has more than 700 music boxes. Also, read our art column to view the beautiful mosaic mural that artists Dani Katsir and Gail Rosenbloom Kaplan created with the seventh-grade students from Congregation Shaarey Zedek's Laker Center. / Sincerely, Carla Schwartz Cover: Photography by Gary Miller Applegate Square • 19847 Northwestern Hwy.
