dedicating his bar mitzvah in memory
of his papa, Oscar Korobkin.
Matthew is an honor student at
Norup Middle School in Oak Park.
He enjoys playing the saxophone,
hockey, basketball and video games.
His mitzvah project included meals on
wheels with Volunteer Impact and vol-
unteering at the Menorah House in
Southfield.

Jacob Louis Clark, son of Nancy and
Eric Clark and brother of Emily, will
become a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Feb. 2, at Temple Israel. His proud
grandparents are Fran and Alvin
Blechman and Helen and Roy Clark.
Jacob is on the forensics team at
Bloomfield Hills Middle School,
where he is an honor student. He
enjoys ice hockey, wrestling, football,
baseball and spending summers at
Camp Tanuga in Kalkaska. Of his
mitzvah projects, he is most proud of
coaching the Star varsity hockey team
•of children who are physically and
emotionally challenged.

Shera Michelle Dines will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek West Bloomfield, B'nai
Israel Center on Saturday, Feb. 2. She
is the daughter of Resa and Philip
Dines and sister of Marshall, Wendi
and Dayna. Her proud grandparents
are Esther Weingarten and Harry and
Esther Dines. Her great-grandparents
David Novak and Sarah Eisenstadt are
honored. Shera is also the granddaugh-
ter of the late David Weingarten.
Shera is an honor student at Warner
Middle school in Farmington Hills.
She enjoys playing the bass, cheerlead-
ing and art. For a mitzvah project,
Shera donated her time at Shaarey
Zedek's day camp this past summer.

Adam Jacob Firsten will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Feb. 2, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
Southfield. He is the son of Debbie
and Stuart Firsten and brother of
Matthew. Sharing in the simchah are
proud grandparents Rita and Saul
Firsten and BeVerly and Arnie Weiss.
Adam is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Orchard Lake Middle School
in West Bloomfield. He enjoys per-
forming magic, working on the com-
puter and listening to music. His
favorite mitzvah projects were volun-
teering at Shaarey Zedek's Camp
Betman and at the Beth Hayeled sum-
mer camp. Her has also helped senior
citizens at Regent Street of West
Bloomfield, an assisted living residence.
Adam is making a donation to help

fight cystic fibrosis. He will be a partic-
ipant on Team Matt for the upcoming
Great Stride-Cystic Fibrosis Walk.

Adam Jared Forman will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
Feb. 2, at Temple Kol Ami. He is the
son of Paula Forman and Jeffrey and
Shawn Forman and the brother of Eric
Forman. He is the grandson of
Anthony and Ilene Lee, Sheila Forman
and the late Betty Lee and Leon
Forman. Thrilled great-grandfather is
Irvin Forman.
Adam is a seventh-grader student at
Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills. He enjoys skiing, floor hockey,
writing and spending time with
friends.

Sara Goodman will be called to the
Torah to celebrate her bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Feb. 2, at Congregation Beth
Shalom. Sara is the daughter of Janet
Hankin and Allen Goodman. Sharing
in her simchah are proud grandparents
Betty Hankin of Milwaukee, Wis., and
Pearl and Nathan Goodman of
Sarasota, Fla. She is also the grand-
daughter of the late Bernard Hankin.
Sara is a seventh-grade student at
Roeper School in Bloomfield Hills. She
plays violin in the Oakland Youth
Orchestra and French horn in the
Roeper school band. She is a cadette
Girl Scout and has attended
Interlochen Arts Camp. Sara has par-
ticipated in several mitzvah projects,
including senior citizen programs at the
Coville Apartments and Fountains of
Franklin in Southfield. She also volun-
teered at Yad Ezra in Oak Park.

Matthew Ryan Kroeger will read from
the Torah on the occasion of his bar
mitzvah at Havdalah services Saturday,
Feb. 2, at Temple Israel. He is the son
of Susan Marshak-Kroeger and
Timothy Kroeger. His brother Brandon
and grandmother Shirley Marshak will
share in the simchah. His late grandfa-
ther was Mike Marshak.
An honor student at West
Bloomfield's Abbott Middle School,
Matthew enjoys movies, computer
games and reading. His most meaning-
ful mitzvah project was working at Yad
Ezra in Oak Park.
