Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel
on Saturday, Jan. 19.

Geoffrey Horowitz will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Jan.
19, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek
West Bloomfield, B'nai Israel Center. He
is the son of Michael and Barbara
Horowitz, brother of Rachel, Susan and
Adam and grandson of Florence
Friedman of Oak Park, Ill. He is also the
grandson of the late Dr. Irving Friedman
and the late Louis and Helen Horowitz.
Geoffrey is an
honor student at
Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan
Detroit in
Farmington Hills.
He enjoys skiing,
snowboarding, water
skiing and boating,
playing piano and
drums. He also has enjoyed his last five
summers as a Tamarack camper.
Geoffrey found volunteer work at Yad
Ezra in Oak Park especially meaningful.
He will contribute a portion of his bar
mitzvah gifts to the Michigan Humane
Society, Jewish National Fund and other
charitable causes.

Kevin Ross Liberman will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, Jan. 19, at Havdalah services.
He is the son of Marcy and Dr. Michael
Liberman and brother of Sandra. His
proud grandparents are Lenore and Dr.
Joseph Rich and Belle Liberman. He is
