Inspired by Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story
and Baz Luhrmann's recent film Romeo and Juliet,
Rennie Harris' Rome and Jewels reconceives the
classic Shakespeare play, combining Elizabethan lan-
guage, rap verse and hip-hop choreography.
