Emily is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in
West Bloomfield. She loves to dance
and she takes tap, jazz and ballet les-
sons. She found it

especially mean-
ingful to volunteer
at the Friendship
'Circle and will
continue working
with the organiza-
tion. She also
made American
flag pins and
raised money to
donate to the
American Red
Cross.
Zachary also is
an honor student
at Orchard Lake
Middle School. He
enjoys tennis, bas-
ketball and work-
ing on computers. He found work-
ing at the Friendship Circle very
rewarding and will continue with the
mitzvah. Zachary donated money to
the Israel Defense Forces.

Jacqueline Winkler of Manhattan
Beach, Calif., will become a bat
mitzvah Saturday, Jan. 5, at
Congregation B'nai Moshe. She is
the granddaughter of Herman Lusky,
the late Elaine Lusky, Julius and
Esther Winkler.
Jacqueline's par-
ents, Mrs. Lisa
Dutra and Mr.
Michael Winkler,
will bring Jackie to
Detroit so that all
their family and
friends may share
in the simchah.
Her brother is
Aaron Winkler.
Jackie attends Manhattan Beach
Middle School. She received her bat
mitzvah training at Congregation
Tiferid Jacob Hebrew School in
Manhattan Beach. She went with
her mother, stepfather and brother
to Israel two years ago.
Jackie enjoys soccer, swimming
and school dances. She volunteers at
an inner city school, helping stu-
dents with reading and math. Her
favorite school subject is social stud-
ies and she has been on the honor
roll numerous times.
