Mrs. Stein served as a facilitator for the Southfield/Oak Park Parkinson's Chapter for at least six years. In 1992, Mrs. Stein received the Dr. Raymond B. Bauer Humanitarian Award from the Michigan Parkinson's - Foundation in recognition of her outstanding ser- vice and dedication to those afflict- ed with Parkinson's. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) presented Mrs. Stein the Shirley Plotnick ABCD Award in 1993 as Outstanding Volunteer Above and Beyond the Call of Duty. In 1994, Mrs. Stein was given - the Humanitarian Award by the City of Southfield Senior Adult Center. She was a member of the Temple Treasures at Temple Israel. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Barry and Judy Stein of Duncan, British Columbia, Fred and Luba Findling of Farmington Hills; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Frank Safran of Westport, Conn., Eleanor and Stanley•Michniewicz of West Bloomfield, Bonnie (Vit Horejs) Stein of New York, N.Y.; grandchil- dren, Elysa, Becca and Jon Safran, Dayna Safran-Muller, Jennifer Good, Marta Michniewicz, Sarazina Stein, David, Daniel and Darren Findling and Debbie Moss; great- grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Findling, Sara Findling Moss. She was the beloved sister of the late Esther Kremen, Anne Koper, Shirley Ferentz and Ben Caron. Interment at Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale.
