active as a nurse for over 50 years.
Mrs. Stein served as a facilitator for
the Southfield/Oak Park Parkinson's
Chapter for at least six years.
In 1992, Mrs. Stein received the
Dr. Raymond B. Bauer
Humanitarian Award from the
Michigan Parkinson's - Foundation in
recognition of her outstanding ser-
vice and dedication to those afflict-
ed with Parkinson's.
The Anti-Defamation League
(ADL) presented Mrs. Stein the
Shirley Plotnick ABCD Award in
1993 as Outstanding Volunteer
Above and Beyond the Call of
Duty.
In 1994, Mrs. Stein was given -
the Humanitarian Award by the
City of Southfield Senior Adult
Center. She was a member of the
Temple Treasures at Temple Israel.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Barry and
Judy Stein of Duncan, British
Columbia, Fred and Luba Findling
of Farmington Hills; daughters and
sons-in-law, Diane and Frank
Safran of Westport, Conn., Eleanor
and Stanley•Michniewicz of West
Bloomfield, Bonnie (Vit Horejs)
Stein of New York, N.Y.; grandchil-
dren, Elysa, Becca and Jon Safran,
Dayna Safran-Muller, Jennifer
Good, Marta Michniewicz, Sarazina
Stein, David, Daniel and Darren
Findling and Debbie Moss; great-
grandchildren, Emily and Ryan
Findling, Sara Findling Moss. She
was the beloved sister of the late
Esther Kremen, Anne Koper,
Shirley Ferentz and Ben Caron.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery in Ferndale.

Bloomfield Hills, died Dec. 24. She
was a graduate of Central High
School and University of Michigan.
She was an interior designer with
the Wallace J. Newton Studio.
