"1 had spent summers in L.A. since
my parents moved there, and I made
friends and connections," she says. "One
summer I interned with Debra Zane, a
well-known casting agent who worked

Black and The Legend of Baggard Vance.
"One day she called and asked if I
could- be on the set of the Drew Carey
Show at 6 a.m. in the morning. Her sis-
