booked the master showman for still
another appearance here.
Tickets will go fast as Joe takes over the
Dearborn Ford Community &
Performing Arts Center on Michigan, cor-
ner of Greenfield ... for Mickey Rooney's
appearance on Saturday, Jan. 19.
A limited amount of tickets will be
available for a dinner-theater package
prepared by Joe's Andiamo and
brought by his Mobile Catering Unit
which has been satisfying many with
its catering ability that numbers atten-
dance in the thousands at one time.

restaurant operation by Gary and
Joannie Tringale ... on W. 12 Mile
Road, just east of Orchard Lake Road
... former locale of Steamers.
Can't tell the name until next week ...
but it will be a true New York pizzeria
and deli concept ... with new styles of
pizza -nor seen in this area ... by experi-
enced chefs from top N.Y. spots arriving
to be at Joannie and Gary's new eatery.
HELLO DELI wanted to open qui-
etly on the corner of 14 Mile and
Farmington Road ... but few thought
it would ... Not with its vast carryout
array of food ... gourmet items to deli
to pastries to breads, etc.
And certainly not with Rose Guttman
ar the new carryout-only delicatessen ...
and not with Ann Kaye, the popular
woman whose little cafes in office build-
ings were standout operations.
OLDIE BUT GOODIE ... At a
parry recently, a jokester, stifling a
laugh said, "One day, Moskowitz and
Finkelstein were going to the ... "
Abruptly, a guest at the party, Al
Cohen, interrupted the jokester,
decrying, "'Moskowitz and
Fin k elstein,' 'Moskowitz and
Finkelstein'
always two Jews! Why
do they have to be Jewish? Can't you
tell the joke involving other nationali-
ties? Why don't you make them
Chinese for a change?"
The jokester, sobered and embar-
rassed, said, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean
to offend. One day, Hong-Lee Yang
and Mao-Chen Foo were going to the
synagogue to attend the bar mitzvah
of Hong-Lee Yang's nephew ..."
