His 1999 PBS television spe-
cial, My Romance: An Evening
with Jim Brickman, has helped
raise millions of dollars for public
television stations. It was rebroad-
cast earlier this month during
Detroit's local pledge drive.
Not only has he had an album
debut at No. 1 on Billboard's
New Age chart, the title tune
from his album The Gift scored
him the Dove Award from the
Gospel Music Association.
