ROSENTHAL, 93, of West Bloomfield, died Dec. 17. He was a 1933 graduate of Wayne State Medical School, who worked his way through school and supported his family as a butcher. He was also a member a 50-year member of Adat Shalom Synagogue, a member of Maimonides Medical Society and the American Medical Society Dr. Rosenthal was a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II and established the first mobile medical hospital in France after D-Day. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Rosenthal; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Leonard and Janet Rosenthal of West Bloomfield, Matthew and Carol Rosenthal of Farmington Hills, Benjamin and Marta Rosenthal of Franklin, Dr. Jerome and Laurie Rosenthal of West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Beth and Ryan Lescoe, Alan, Eri, Jill, Rachel, Jennifer, Eryn and Julie Rosenthal; sister, Goldie Rieger of Pittsburgh; brother and sister-in-law, Sigmund and Dorothy Rosenthal of California.
