wo West Bloomfield busi-
ness owners and a
Southfield physician were
among the big winners at
this year's Yeshivat Akiva Chinese auc-
tion held Dec. 2 at Congregation Beth
Shalom in Oak Park.
Akiva parents Dr. and Mrs. Jeffrey
Goldenberg won a trip to Israel, while
Steve Tapper of Tapper's Diamonds
and Fine Jewelry and Ken Lipson of
Paragon Underwriters held the win-
ning ticket for the $10,000 drawing.
But the biggest winner of all will be
the Southfield-based day school,
which estimates the event will bring in
more than $50,000 to boost its educa-
tional and scholarship programs. ❑
