DTE Chairman Anthony Earley was
presented with the Great American
Traditions Award from B'nai B'rith
International during the celebration at
the Detroit Marriott Hotel.
B'nai B'rith International President
Richard D. Heidemen presented the
award to Earley on behalf of B'nai
B'rith.
After accepting the award, Earley
presented a grant to the Great Lakes
Region of B'nai B'rith for $50,000 to
develop and implement the Enlighten
America, Enlighten the World program
in Michigan.

The program, now in its second year,
is an international program developed
by B'nai B'rith to foster good will and
combat hatred and bigotry.
In the coming year, B'nai B'rith will
sponsor activities with students from
several school districts, including the
Bloomfield Hills school district, which
will range from workshops, speakers
and a scholarship competition in the
area of art, literature and music.
Chairperson for the program is Dr.
Mitchell Gellis.
