ing soccer and finding new uses for
computers. He is a Boy Scout in Troop
1032, where he has achieved the rank of
Star and is a member of the Order of
the Arrow.
For his mitzvah project, Robbie
tutored and mentored at the Boys and
Girls Club of Southeastern Oakland
County.

Samantha Evelyn Kaiser was called to

the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 2, at Temple Emanu-El. She is the
daughter of Robyn Frankel and sister of
Matthew Sharing in this occasion were
her grandparents Sandra Frankel and
Maurice and Charlotte Frankel.
Samantha is an eighth-grader at
Norup Middle School in Oak Park. She
enjoys basketball, skiing, going to the
movies, attending
Camp Sea-Gull in
Charlevoix; and she
has been a member
of the Huntington
Woods Hurricanes
swim team for five
years. Her mitzvah
project involved vol-
unteering at the
Center for Human
Development at Beaumont Hospital, in
Royal Oak, where she worked with
autistic children developing social inter-
action skills.

Saturday, Nov. 24, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek Southfield. Participating
in the ceremony were her parents, Ann
and David Rosenberg, and brothers
Barry, Stevan and Kevin Rosenberg.
Proud grandparents are Dina and

Shelley is an
eighth-grade honor
student at Hillel

Detroit in
Farmington Hills.
She likes science,
math and writing
and particularly
enjoys sports, especially basketball, soft-
ball, soccer, tennis, bike riding, water
skiing and snow skiing. Shelley found it
very meaningful to visit a Jewish
Association for Residential Care (JARC)
home and she intends to donate to the .
Anti-Defamation League, Jewish
National Fund and JARC. She partici-
pates in a variety of mitzvah projects
that will continue on a regular basis.

Joshua Etan Kotler Rubin of West

Bloomfield will be called to the Torah as
a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 8, at
Congregation B'nai Moshe. He is the
son of Ellen Kotler and Donald Rubin
and brother of Penina. Proud grandpar-
ents are Elsie Kotler, May Blechman
and Harold Rubin, Sylvia Rubin and
Nate Berlin. Josh is also the grandson of
the late Sidney Kotler.
Josh is an eighth-grade honor student
at Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield. His interests include clar-
